Elizabeth Arden Flawless Finish Bare Perfection Makeup SPF 8

Hey everyone, hope you're all having a great day! I picked up a new foundation when I went to the Lisa Warehouse sale back in the beginning of May. I picked up the Elizabeth Arden Flawless Finish Bare Perfection Makeup SPF 8. This product was totally unplanned. I was looking at the various Elizabeth Arden foundations that were at the sale and this was the only one I could find that matched my skin tone pretty good. So I bought it. I didn't know anything about this foundation but thought I might as well try it since I was running low on liquid foundation.

Find out what I thought about this foundation after the jump!

So after I got home I googled this foundation and looked up different reviews. The reviews did not win me over. Some people loved this foundation and some absolutely hated it. A lot of the reviews said people had trouble blending the foundation and that it was hard to work with. So lets just say I was not excited about trying this foundation out.

Reading the reviews I decided that this foundation probably needs a good primer to make sure it blends into the skin easily. I've been using the NARS primer prior to using this foundation. I find that with a primer this blends nice into the skin. It's a light foundation but I work with it fast when I apply it which makes it easier to blend. When I apply this foundation I use my fingers to blend into the skin which I found works best.

I love that the foundation comes with a pump! It makes life much easier and I end up using less product. I can cover my whole face with 1.5 to 2 pumps. The foundation has medium coverage but I find that I have to go over some parts of my face twice to get extra coverage.

Also because this foundation has SPF I don't recommend wearing this when you're being photographed. I wore this last night and in the photos my friends took I looked very pale. Now I am pale but this foundation made my face extra pale. Not something I want in the summer.

As for longevity, if I'm in an air conditioned climate I can wear this throughout most of the day for about 7-8 hours with minimal touching up (with primer and powder on top). But if I'm out and it's humid I touch up more often. If you live in a humid environment I don't recommend this because it doesn't last that long when you're out on a hot day.

Overall, I do like this foundation. With a primer it blends easily into the skin. It provides adequate coverage while also being lightweight. Just don't wear this foundation when you're being photographed. I probably wont be repurchasing this when I do finish the bottle because it's an good foundation but nothing really special. It does the job but it doesn't WOW me.

Have a great day!

Stela :)
