L'OREAL SPRING 2013 WAREHOUSE SALE PURCHASES AND THOUGHTS

Hey everyone, on Sunday I went to the L'oreal Warehouse Sale and wanted to share with you what I purchased. This will give you an idea of different things available at the sale if you're thinking of going.

Continue reading for prices and description of different products available at the sale!!

L'oreal Shampoo ($2.50) & Garnier Conditioner ($2)
Haven't tried either of these before but thought since they were so cheap I'd give them a try. Plus I'm currently out of conditioner.

L'oreal Sunscreen ($5) & Garnier Pure Control Acne Cleansing Gel ($6.75)
The sunscreen I've purchased before and thought with spring just around the corner this would be needed. Haven't heard anything about this cleanser by Garnier but wanted to try it since I've been breaking out more than usual lately.

Loreal Magic Lumi Concealer ($4.25); L'oreal Infallible Eye Shadow in Iced Latte & Tender Caramel ($4.50 each)
The concealer is a repurchase, I used this concealer last summer and loved it so decided I wanted to use it again. This is the first time I'm trying the L'oreal Infallible Eye Shadows and so far I'm really liking them.

L'oreal True Match Foundation ($3.75)
First time I've purchased this foundation but I've heard endless good things from friends so thought I'd give it a try. Wanted to get N1 too but they ran out of it so got N2 instead.

L'oreal Voluminous Power 24H Mascara ($4.75)
Not sure if I've tried this mascara before, it looks familiar but not 100% positive. They had this sold separately without the eyeliner but at the same price. So just made sense to get the one with the bonus eye liner.

Maybelline Volum' Express One by One Mascara ($3.75)
I've tried this before and liked it so picked up another tube.

Overall, the sale was ok. Nothing too exciting. They didn't have a lot of mascara options (most were waterproof) and usually they have a large variety. I was looking forward to the mascaras mostly because I always like to stock up at these sales.

I feel like there weren't that many options this year. But I'm not sure if I just think because I've been so many times before.

From Maybelline they had Fit Foundation (Powder and Liquid), Dream Mousse Foundation, Dream Mousse Bronzer, Dream Mouse Blush, Dream Mousse Concealer, a bunch of lipgloss, variety of nail polish, nail polish strips, Sensational Lipsticks (I think thats what they're called), Baby Lips, Color Tattoo Cream Eyeshadow (VERY SMALL SELECTION), mascaras, and some different quads and mineralized eyeshadows. That's what I remember from the top of my head. Prices ranged from $2 to $5.

L'oreal: True Match Foundation (Liquid and Powder), Infallible eye shadows (good variety), regular blushes, different type of concealer, small selection of nail polish (they were a mini size I think :S), and I think 3 or 4 types of mascara. They had some more products like different lipsticks or what not but I didn't spend a lot of time looking at them. Prices ranged from $3 to $5.

If you're a nail polish addict, more specifically an Essie lover, then go to this sale ASAP. They had a great selection of past limited edition nail polishes. They were to the right of the entrance. I didn't get any as I have similar polishes. Each was $6. I think they had a deal buy 5 get 1 free but I'm not 100% sure.

They had a variety of hair care products from Redken, Matrix, Garnier and L'oreal. L'oreal and Garnier were the cheapers ($2 - $3), while Redken and Matrix were pricier. Shampoo and Conditioner started around $10 but there were some mini masks that were cheaper.

Good selection of Vichy and La Roche Posay skincare/sunscreen and a good variety of sets. Prices were pretty good for these as they are pricey in store. The Anthelios sunscreen from La Roche Losay was $16. Only price I remember since I was thinking of purchasing it.

At the Lancome section I saw that they had either three or four different sets with mascara/makeup remover/eye liner and were priced around the $20 mark. They also sold two mascaras separately - I believe they were Hypnose Doll Eyes and Hypnose Drama. Can't remember the price exactly but I assume they'd be from $15 - $20. So if you get a mascara its usually more beneficial to get a set. Other than that didn't get to look at the makeup but I did notice they only had one foundation that they were selling. Didn't recognize it so I assume it's been discontinued.

Also a good variety of box hair dyes - I didn't look at the prices but no joke I saw a lady with a whole cart full of hair dye boxes, so I assume they were cheaper than retail haha.

Finally, they had a small section of perfume like YSL, Stella, And Victor and Rolf, and a few others that I can't remember. If you like Flowerbomb from Victor and Rolf they had two different types sold individually but I believe those two were limited edition as the bottle was a bit different (coral colour I think :S). But they did have the original sold in a set which was I think either $75 or $77. They had a variety of perfume sets for both men and women.

Overall, I've seen better sales but if you've never been I'm sure there will be lots of things that will catch your eye. Prices have increased but not drastically so it's still worth going.

Hope that was informative and let me know in the comments if you've been to the sale!

Have a great day!

Stela :)

  5. I'm tempted to check out the sale but not completely sold. Did they have BB Creams or the newer lipsticks on sale like Maybelline's Colour Sensational?

    1. Hey Hazel no I went again on Wednesday with another friend of mine and didn't see neither BB creams or the newer lipsticks from Maybelline. Usually with Maybelline/L'oreal makeup if it recently came out they have them sometimes at upcoming sales but not right away. For example they had Maybelline Color Tattoos that were limited edition back in the winter/fall ... cant remember the collection but they had the majority of the colours.

  6. I have to agree with you, the sale wasn't as good as sales past. I did pick up a few things the two times I went.
