Dermablend Cover Creme Review

I had first heard about Dermablend in a YouTube video DulceCandy did a while back.
I was intrigued with their Cover Creme foundation but never got around to trying it out myself.

I was recently contacted by Nail Polish Canada to try a Dermablend product they carry. Naturally I went with their foundation, Cover Creme*, since I had heard good things about it.

Cover Creme is known to have high coverage and used to cover major skin flaws such as scars, burns, etc. I'm fairly lucky that the majority of the time my skin is well behaved. So having a high coverage foundation is not always required. The main reason I wanted to try this foundation was to use it as concealer. I have a pretty early wake up call on weekdays so dark circles always make an appearance. In order to make myself look a bit alive I need to have a good concealer.

The first thing I'd like to note about this foundation is the amount of product you get. 28 g is a very generous amount and since I only use this as a concealer this is going to last me a very long time. I don't see it ever running out.

I picked up the shade Chroma 0 - Pale Ivory as I'm ever so pale. If you have very fair skin, this is a good shade for you. It's a bit too light for me to use all over my face as foundation, but for concealer its great to use to brighten my under eye are. I think if you're a NW15 in the MAC shade range, Chroma 0 would work for you.

It comes with a spatula which is great for sanitary purposes, though I don't use it. I see it would be good if you're using it to apply all over the face. But since I only use this foundation under my eyes it's easier to just use my fingers to get the product out. I also like to warm the foundation with my fingers to make it easier to blend under my eyes. When I use my fingers to apply the product it blends very nicely.

Coverage is amazing. It's definitely a high coverage product. Given the shade is a bit too light it really helps brighten my under eye area. I also like to set it with my Bare Minerals concealer to ensure that it stays on all day.

One thing I've noticed is that it does crease even when I set it. It's not that big of a problem for me as all of my concealers crease on me. Aside from that I only have good things to say about this foundation.

Interested? Head over to Nail Polish Canada to find this foundation!

Have a great day!

Stela :)

PS. Check out this video by Dermablend on how amazingly pigmented their foundation is!
