More specifically the Delirium trilogy.
I just finished the trilogy hours ago and I can't get over how good it was. I wish I didn't read it so fast and I'd be able to enjoy it more. Weird, right?
Haven't heard about Delirium? Well basically if you're a fan of dystopian type books (Hunger Games, Divergent, Maze Runner) you need to read this trilogy.
In a nutshell, Delirium is set in future years where the US government believes that love is a disease and is the cause of many problems in society. So much that when kids turn eighteen they get a surgery that enables them to not feel love anymore, and thus are referred to as "cured." The story follows the life of Lena who is just about to turn eighteen. Well, her life changes very quickly in a short period of time. That's all I'm going to say because I do not want to spoil one bit. I wont say much about the rest of the trilogy, Pandemonium and Requiem because I don't want to spoil the first book. Lets just say there are many cliffhangers and jaw dropping moments which result in not being able to put the book down. Overall I think the second book was my favourite out of the bunch but all three books were amazing.
Highly highly highly recommend. Find the first book here.
There. I've vented. Out of my system.
Back to makeup.
This wont be a review. Just some pieces I've purchased and wanted to share.
Bioderma Sensibio H2O: Probably the most talked about makeup remover now a days. I finally decided it was time to pick it up and give it a go myself. So far I'm liking it.
YSL Touche Eclat: Another highly coveted product. This product has been recommended by so many people that I was just itching to buy it. But the price always made me rethink it. Then it went on Groupon for a great deal and I couldn't pass it up. So far .. its alright but then again I haven't played around with it too much.
Clinique Stay Matte Foundation: I ran out of foundation last week and needed to get a new one. I have oily skin and prefer a medium coverage so this one appealed to me. Have been wearing it all week and have really been liking it so far. Will note that if you have dry skin this is not the foundation for you, it clings to any dry spots.
Will have a full review of all the products mentioned above!
What are some of your recent purchases? Any recommendations?
Have a great weekend!
