Too Faced - Beauty Blogger Darlings

Too Faced has definitely been a makeup line I've overlooked. Even with the countless good things I've heard about their eyeshadow palettes, primer and bronzer I've never ventured into trying this line.

During the holidays I had a secret santa gift exchange with friends and my secret santa gifted me with this great set from Too Faced. To say I was excited to finally try some of Too Faced most famous products would be an understatement.

One of the first things I tried was the Too Faced Shadow Insurance. When the beauty community first started on YouTube this product was one of the most talked about. Being a fan of the Urban Decay Primer Potion and having always been compared to it I wanted to see if they were actually different. Well after using it for about a month I really can't tell any difference. It has the same consistency as the Urban Decay Primer Potion and holds the eyeshadow from creasing for the majority of the day, as with the Primer Potion. I'm someone who can't go without wearing eyeshadow primer as my eyelids get oily throughout the day. The Too Faced Shadow Insurance lets me not worrying about my eyeshadow wearing off or creasing. Would I purchase the full size. Sure, but not right away as I purchased the Urban Decay Primer Potion right before I received this set (and these take me forever to finish).

I'm a mascara junkie so when I saw that this set contained the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara I was very happy. I've never heard any things about this mascara so I was interested to see how it performed. The brush has a unique hourglass shape which I've never seen before. The formula is also a bit dry, which I don't mind but I know some people prefer that. All I have to say is this mascara is amazing. It provides my lashes with both volume and length. Volume is my primary concern when looking for a mascara and the Too Face Better Than Sex mascara delivers. The only con I've noticed is that by the end of the day the curl to my eyelashes has fallen. But this doesn't bother me as it's expected after a full day of wear since I don't curl my lashes with an eyelash curler. Would I repurchase the full size? Yes!

Next up the Too Faced Primed and Poreless Primer. Primer is one product I'm not consistent with. I'll go a period of wearing it consistently and then totally forget about it. I also don't like to apply primer all over my face. Mainly apply primer on my t-zone as this is where I get oily thought the day. The Too Faced Primed and Poreless has a beige tint to it which helps it cover any pores I have on my t-zone. I've noticed when I wear this primer my t-zone is less oily (great since I hardly ever retouch my makeup after applied). I also found that it has a similar consistency with the Benefit Prorefessional Primer (also love this primer). Overall, I like this product but it's not holy grail material to me. It's nice but I probably won't repurchase the full size.

And finally the Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer. I can't even count the number of times I've heard about this product. And the reviews have always been good. I'm not much of a bronzer girl, especially in the winter as I'm ever so pale. I did try this out and even though it's the Medium shade it didn't look muddy or too dark on my face. It blended easily and I used a big powder brush to apply it. I also like that it's matte so I'll also be able to use it for contouring. The Too Face Chocolate Soleil Bronzer is definitely one of the best bronzers I've tried as of yet and I'm excited to wear this once the summer comes and I get a bit of tan to pull this off. Would I purchase the full size? Yes!

Overall, I think this is a great set that Too Faced has come out with. Provides you with good sized "deluxe samples" of four of their most popular products. I always enjoy these sets that Sephora comes out with since I'm able to try a product for a while and then determine if it's worth it to get the full size.

The set is also still available at Sephora! Check it out here!

Have a great day!
