Products Used Up

Using up a product is a very gratifying feeling.

I think it's due to two reasons - one - being able to get your money's worth and two - having the will power to stick to a product even though you want to try something new.

Here's a roundabout of things that I've used up (mainly things I've remember to kept and not thrown out). This is pretty large for me - so it's a safe warning that this has been accumulating for many months.

I guess the best place to start is the product that's been used up the most, the Dove Dry Spray Deodorant. I will admit when these came out in Toronto I was very excited. I tried these out about a year ago when I was in Greece and loved them. But ... as there usually is a but ... you get through these way too fast. If one last me a month, then I'm lucky. If you don't mind having to repurchase this every month than I recommend this deodorant. They have a great array of scents and are pretty long lasting. I've switched to Dove's regular stick formula now just cause those last longer. Not my favourite but getting by.

The the First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream. This stuff has holy grail status to me. This was the only thing that got my hands through last winter. Without this cream my hands would have not survived. Currently almost finished another tube that I'm keeping in my handbag - though, it hasn't been getting much action lately.

The Phyto Phytodensium Serium was a purchase instigated by ttsandra (many purchases are instigated by her - you need to check her out). It's basically a serum to increase hair density and held signs of aging. I'm a bit young to be worried about aging but my hair has felt thinner over the past year. I think this kinda helped...? I didn't see any major differences but now having gone without it for about four/five months I feel like my hair is feeling very thin. I think I'm gonna give this another ago to determine for sure if it's a hit or miss. I will note that its currently not on Sephora online - hoping it's still in stores.

I got the Phyto Phytocyane Shampoo at the same time as the serum. Again, this is targeted for those with thinning hair. This didn't do anything for me. Didn't see any difference and will not be repurchasing.

Final hair product - the Batiste Dry Shampoo - XXL Volume edition. I love this stuff. I've gone through many bottles and currently using another one. It gives the hair a gritty texture and you need to work it into the hair to avoid any greyish issues on your hair.

Next up, the face stuff.

The Bombshell Covergirl* mascara was nice. It has two sides, one for definition and one for volume. I'm usually not a big fan of these types of mascara, but I've always loved the original Lashblash so I had high hopes for this. It was a nice mascara - gave nice volume and length but also lasted all day, even in hot temperatures.

The Lancome Grandiose* mascara is probably the best packaged mascara. Lancome makes great mascaras and this didn't disappoint. Though, I do prefer the Lancome Hypnose over this.

On to the one moisturizer I've been able to use up. I definitely struggle with using up skincare. I loveddd the Biotherm Aquasource Nuit* moisturizer. It has a gel consistency, which I prefer on my oily/normal skin. It kept my skin feeling hydrated all night and didn't have any dryness issues when using this. This was given to me at a Biotherm event last year, but I'll be purchasing one myself once I get through some of the skincare I'm working through.

I also managed to get through the infamous YSL Touche Eclat. This highlighting pen had everyone talking about it a couple years ago. It's a good product. It's a subtle highlight and I really liked using it on my brow bone. Would I purchase again? Umm.. at $50 its a pretty steep price tag. It's a nice highlighter and if you have the funds for it I would say to check it out. I may wait for the Sephora sale to repurchase.

Finally, on to the last product. The Maybelline One by One Volum' Express mascara. I usually pick up at least one of these at the L'oreal Warehouse sales. I love this mascara. Gives great volume to the lashes and is really long lasting. I've gone through many tubes and I'll be picking up another one at the next L'oreal Warehouse sale.

Andddddd that's it. For now. I've already started filling my box with other empties for another post. But I'll wait a bit longer for that one.

Hope you're all having a great day!
