Get Holiday Ready With Quo

Hey everyone!

Halloween is fast approaching but the holiday collections have already started to roll out! I was going to wait a bit until I made this post but I spotted this collection popping up at a local Shoppers. If you're starting your holiday shopping early or even have a birthday coming up, Quo has a lot of options for you to choose from!

Similar to last year, Quo has come out with a set of mini lip glosses* ($25). This set comes with eight mini lip glosses - half a creme formula and half with shimmer in them. I think this is a great set for any teen who's just starting with makeup as the lip glosses aren't very pigments. If you're a lipgloss hoarder, I'd probably skip this as the glosses may be too sheer for you.

Quo has also come out with a set of six mini Quo by Orly* nail polishes ($20). This set has a great array of polishes to choose from. What I like about this set is that the colours are not all winter/fall shades but have some bright shades for spring and summer, making this a great set for the entire year.

Quo has once again come out with their famous cracker sets* ($20). A box comes with four crackers and each cracker contains a lipgloss and an eye shadow. The lip glosses in these crackers, as imagined are pretty small but the eyeshadow are a decent size. I think these would be good stocking stuffers for younger girls as the set can split up among four different people.

If you're on a hunt for a budget eye shadow palette - the Quo Back to Basics Eye Shadow Palette in New Nudes* ($25) is a great choice. The layout of this palette reminds me of the Urban Decay Naked palettes with the large selection of shades and the additional brush. I will note that the quality of these shadows are just ok. The matte light shades don't have strong pigmentation but the darker shades along the right have pretty decent payoff. I think this is a good palette if you're just starting off with makeup and eyeshadow as there's a large selection of light shades to start you off.

Contouring is all the hype these days and Quo has come out with a contouring kit* ($30) which comes with two brushes. Since I'm ever so pale, contouring is very tricky for me to do. So I usually just skip it and pack on the blush. I've tried Quo's blushes before and I'm a fan so I suspect the bronzers to be similar pigmentation/application. I'll be passing this along to someone who will enjoy it much more than me!

Those are just some of the products Quo has come out with for their Holiday 2015 collection. I'd recommend checking the rest out in store if you're starting your holiday shopping early!

Have a great day!
