The Body Shop - Tea Tree Oil

Hey everyone!

I recently got the chance to try out some products from The Body Shop's Tea Tree oil range. I've been familiar with this line for years but never got a chance to try it.

Recently The Body Shop has come up our with a limited edition Tea Tree collection. This collection consists of three of their tea tree products but in a jumbo size. I was kindly sent over the Tea Tree Oil* and the Tea Tree Clearing Facial Wash* to try.

Tea Tree Oil is a natural oil that can be used to clear up spots. My skin is not acne prone but I do get the occasional spot around that time of the month. I like to apply the Tea Tree Oil using a q-tip and apply only on spots. I've found that the Tea Tree Oil helps minimize the times needed for the spots to clear up. This doesn't get rid of any spots overnight but usually in a couple days the spots will be significantly reduced in size or almost completely gone.

One thing I don't like about this is the smell. It's something that I've had to get used to when applying but thankfully its doesn't linger on the skin after applying. But even with the smell I still like this product. It's effective and a little goes a long way. The 20ml size will last me a very long time.

Another thing I like about this product is that the oil used is fairly traded from Kenya. Fair trade is always a good thing in my books and I always prefer to pick products that are made with fairly traded ingredients - not just beauty products but other products I use day to day. You can learn more about that here.

Overall, I do recommend this product if you're in the market for a tea tree oil to use as a spot treatment. I'd recommend you pick up the 20ml size as this will last you a very long time!

Next post will be all about cleansers - so be in the lookout for that very soon!
